These friction folders have no locking mechanism. Your hand keeps them open. I keep the action on the tight side and it can be adjusted by giving it a little WD-40 in the pivot and working the blade and handle a little. These are to be opened and closed with two hands. Keep dry with a little oil. Perfect to keep you out of the Tombs.
