Ergonomic Knifemakers Push Stick

$45.00

Handmade out of IPE wood

I’ve always used push sticks when free hand grinding and after years of standing in front of the grinder, I’ve tried to figure out ways to be more comfortable in different positions for long stretches of time. This push stick is made out of hard IPE wood and cut at an angle that puts your wrist and thumb in a more natural position as you hold your blade flat against the platen. The flats on the top and bottom of the handle allow your grip to relax a little as the handle indexes in your hand and you’re able to comfortably keep the blade flat with even pressure on your grinder platen.

You can certainly change the angle to suit your preferences and there’s room to touch up the face as you most likely will hit it on the belt.

After making these for myself and others, I thought I’d offer it up to the knifemaking community. Very limited batch.
